Big Game week: Stanford and Cal play for the Axe — and for momentum
The oldest rivalry in the West still means everything on both sides of the bay.
Records come and go. The Axe is forever. That's the line you'll hear on both campuses this week, and it's the truth.
Both programs are navigating new conference realities and long cross-country road trips, which makes a home-grown rivalry feel even more precious.
Expect a tight, low-scoring game decided in the fourth quarter. It usually is.
